BitDefender Home Edition, as a complex product for home users, achieved good and very good marks in all categories of the comparison test. As new product in the test field, BitDefender succeeded as one of the most complex virus scanners.

BitDefender offers a scan engine with high detection rate, with a friendly user interface and support for all e-mail clients. The software automatically updates itself under Windows 2000 and XP; if a new user has logged in, even with restricted user rights, the software displays warning messages when new viruses occur.
